What is Computer Programming?
Some think that programming is an art form, some a craft, and some think of it as an engineering discipline. I believe that learning to program allows students an invaluable opportunity to develop problem-solving skills. The process of defining a problem, breaking it down into a series of smaller problems and then writing a computer program to it is an exercise in learning to think logically.
In addition, the student is made aware of the capabilities and limitations of the computer and soon realizes that the programmer (the human element) is more important than the machine.
